Bookworm
She is a quiet sort of girl
who likes to read a book
she sits for hours in a chair
cozy in her nook
She likes to learn
and learns to live
through all the things she reads
She reads and as she reads,
she makes believe it's real
The wind is really in her hair,
the grass beneath her feet
She sees the world anew
through each author's point of view
Through each path of folly
she cries with all the rest
She laughs at the absurdities,
and through it all stays riveted
until she's reached the end
Each book is an adventure
that takes her on a ride
and when she's done, she feels
all bubbly inside.
