Life Begins

The candle flickers on it’s stand
he hugs her waist and holds her hand.
He gently whispers in her ear
so softly she can barely hear.
He tells her all the things he craves
the words for her alone, he saves.

Undoing buttons on his shirt
as he gently lifts her skirt.

Her hands they seek a place to rest
and find one on his hairy chest.
Hands sliding slowly  over skin
awaken feelings deep within.

Mixing love and lust and passion
in a careless lover’s fashion.
Hands unsteady, body shaking
as if the very earth were quaking.
Sweet release; a lover’s bliss
followed by a gentle kiss.

So out of love begins a life
free of tension and of strife,
without flaw in every way
perfect as a summer day.
